DESCRIPTION:Evanti Presents: Otherworldly Ambiguity Featuring Club Drippy o
f Pixel Grip\ndoing a LIVE set with Visuals by Renalien and Bone Study doi
	ng a LIVE set\nsupported by Shanti and Scum.ee [http://Scum.ee] on July 7t
h\, 9-1:30am at Empty\nBottle.\n\n*Ticket link will be provided and sold a
t the door.\n\nThis edition of Otherworldly Ambiguity exists within the mo
re\nexperimental/ambient realms of sound.\n\nOtherworldly ambiguity is the
phenomenon of liminality\, occupying the spaces in\nbetween and outside o
f pre-existing concepts and rigid categories. By embracing\nour ambiguous
condition\, we are entranced by boundaryless identities and ways of\nbeing
. The dance floor becomes the site of embracing one’s otherworldliness and
\nhybridity through movement and community.\n\n1) Club Drippy is the amorp
hous moniker of Jon Jon\, Chicago native and\nco-founder of electronic pow
erhouse Pixel Grip. Taking inspiration from sweaty\nraves\, the natural wo
rld\, and queer freedom\, Club Drippy absorbs and reflects\nhis experience
	s through producing\, DJing\, and writing.\n\nOn the dancefloor\, Drippy p
resents his curation with elements of synthpop\,\nindustrial\, new beat\,
and italo for an eclectic listening experience.\n\nIn addition to his work
with Pixel Grip\, Drippy has self-released Made of Silk\n(2020) and Blue
Beats (2024) as original ambient techno explorations.\n\n2) Bone Study is
a live experimental artist based in Chicago with original\,\nsurrealist pr
oductions.\n\n3) Shanti has made textured waves in Chicago’s techno scene
with her curation of\ndark\, sinister\, and ethereal soundscapes. Music ha
s always been a means of\ncoping with the otherness and hybridity Shanti e
xperienced throughout her life.\nShe has been deeply moved by the transcen
dent ability of music to express\nconcepts\, states of consciousness\, and
conflicting emotions. Shanti’s sets weave\na story of the simultaneous de
spair and yearning that are intertwined with the\nhuman condition and illu
strate an intentional trajectory through combining and\ncultivating surrea
l\, atmospheric\, and haunting sounds.\n\nEnamored by the liminal dynamics
	 of sound\, she cohosts Otherworldly Ambiguity\nwith Scum.ee [http://Scum.
ee] - an experience that is centered around the\nphenomenon of existing in
between and outside of pre-existing concepts and rigid\ncategories. She i
	s also a member of techno collective Research & Development and\nhosts a m
onthly radio show\, “Liminal Radio” on WIIT 88.9 FM featuring thoughtful\n
artists at the core of Chicago’s underground music scene.\n\n4) Scum.ee [h
ttp://Scum.ee]'s journey into music is a story of evolution and\nexplorati
on. He was first captivated by the energetic\, upbeat rhythms of the\nChic
ago house scene\, but his heart was always drawn to the deeper\, more\nmys
terious realms. As he immersed himself in dark techno\, the moody and hypn
otic\nsounds resonated with his desire to explore the unknown. He currentl
y gravitates\ntowards surreal frequencies that cross boundaries and induce
listeners into a\nstate of trance. As one half of Evanti alongside Shanti
\, his performances span a\nrange of styles\, reflecting his ever-evolving
	 musical vision.
