DTSTAMP:20260524T080618Z
DTSTART:20260906T000000Z
DESCRIPTION:When Chris Stewart set out to write and record his third album
as Black Marble\,\nhe was newly living in Los Angeles\, fresh off a move f
rom New York. The\nenvironment brought much excitement and possibility\, b
ut the distance had proved\ntoo much for the car he brought along. With it
out of commission indefinitely\,\nhe purchased a bus pass and planned his
daily commute from his Echo Park\napartment to his downtown studio\, wher
e he began to shape Bigger Than Life. The\nroute wound all through the cit
y\, from the small local shops of Echo Park to the\nrising glass of the bu
siness district\, to the desperation of Skid Row. The\nhurried energy of t
he environment provided a backdrop for the daily trip. When\nStewart final
ly arrived at his studio\, hed look through his window at the\nmountains a
nd the sky\, seeing the beauty that makes L.A. unique the same beauty\nhis
fellow commuters\, some pushed to the edge of human endurance\, had seen.
That\nwas the headspace he was in when he began to map out the syncopated
drums and\nstaccato arpeggiation of Bigger Than Life\, an ode to his new
condition and a\nshimmering synth-pop response to its cacophony.\n\nPlease
Note:\nThis event is 17 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present val
